After graduating with honors from Emory University, Dr. Holzman earned his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Holzman completed his residency in ophthalmology at George Washington University and later completed a fellowship in corneal surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Eye and Ear Institute.

Dr. Holzman was the first ophthalmologist in the Washington, D.C. area to perform Conductive Keratoplasty (CK®). Dr. Holzman has used his expertise to further the success of Intralase and bladeless LASIK at the regional and national levels, serving as a national trainer and regional instructor to share his knowledge with other refractive surgeons.

Named a Star Surgeon by VISX, Dr. Holzman is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Additionally, he is active in several professional organizations for LASIK and refractive surgeons, including:

Dr. Holzman has been published in several professional journals and given lectures on LASIK and refractive surgery issues. Born in New York, Dr. Holzman was raised in Cranford, New Jersey. He met his wife, Nancy, while attending the University of Miami; he was at the School of Medicine, she at the School of Law. They settled in Boca Raton, Florida, where Dr. Holzman honed his skills as a LASIK and refractive surgeon. In 1999, they relocated to the Washington, D.C. area where Dr. Holzman opened Millennium Laser Eye Centers, which later merged with TLC Laser Eye Centers. Dr. Holzman and Nancy have two grown children, Rachel and Daniel, and two golden retrievers, CJ and Wade. Rachel attends the University of Wisconsin, and Daniel attends the University of Miami. In his spare time, Dr. Holzman enjoys golf, travel, and music.

Dr. Holzman is dedicated to making each of his patients comfortable when they visit him for treatment. Known for his caring and gregarious personality, his patients immediately feel comfortable in his presence. As a partner in each patient’s treatment, Dr. Holzman leads patient education seminars to explain the procedures he performs.
